Blogs and social media go together like bread and butter. Both help you market your products, and when used in tandem, you can use your blog to promote your social media channels and vice versa.
With that in mind, you want a social media management app that can manage your WordPress blog and your social media accounts.
Unfortunately, most social media management apps don't do this. Being WordPress fans ourselves, we went on a quest to find the best social media management tool that supports WordPress blogs.
In this article, we'll show you the best social media management apps that support WordPress scheduling. Let's jump right in!
Social Report — the most full-featured WordPress scheduling tool
With Social Report, you can write blog posts and share them from one centralized social media dashboard. Even cooler, you can track clicks to your WordPress blog posts within the Social Report dashboard. Use these analytics to better optimize your social media posts when sharing blog posts, and reap the benefits of increased traffic.
Social Report has a pretty price tag too. Its lowest plan—Standard—includes 25 social profiles across 5 team members for $49 per month. You can add 25 blogs, 25 social networks, or any mixture of the two. This is great for content mills or anyone else that needs to post to multiple WordPress blogs.
HootSuite — full feature set, expensive monthly fee
Like Social Report, HootSuite has WordPress publishing tools. You can write new blog posts in the app, edit existing posts, and even re-share blog posts to social media directly within HootSuite. The application supports WordPress.com and self-hosted WordPress.org blogs out-of-the-box, and minimal setup is required.
The downside? Price.
Agencies need to use the Team plan that includes just three users and 20 social profiles. Add enough blogs and social channels, and you'll soon find yourself needing to upgrade to the service's $599 per month Business plan. Ouch.
As of the time of publishing this article, we can only find two social media management apps that support WordPress: Social Report and HootSuite. And while these two apps offer extremely similar features, we think Social Report has the upper hand as it's more reasonably priced and lets you track your blog shares on social media.
